I can no longer scroll down or click in with the scroll wheel. There must be some small bit of plastic that breaks very easily. The scroll wheel also comes off it's mount and refuses to be fixed - even when disassembling and remounting. This is really a bummer in normal computing - and completely unacceptable for gaming.
The cursor would become unresponsive or jump around all over the place. I've updated drivers, removed the device, reinstalled. You name it, I've tried to use this mouse on it. This has happened on a multitude of surfaces, mousepads, paper, desks, books. But - after a month, you start running into tracking issues. I've been cleaning the sensors (allowing the q-tip to touch the sensor) with a dry q-tip on a monthly basis, and the problem has not returned. I read a forum saying to clean the sensor with a q-tip, and sure enough, the jitterbugging, sticking and non-movement is now gone. So, I thought either the sensor went bad or it needed to be cleaned, somehow. The mouse getting stuck didn't really hamper my game play, so I dealt with it for the next 2 years.Ģ Years later, the mouse just stopped moving all together, but the button were still able to register its clicks.
